If you think piano music is not your thing, think again. First Friday Live has secured prominent Australian pianist Wayne Kelly for Friday 5 February - and this is one piano man you won’t want to miss!

Wayne has become known for his energetic swinging jazz with its hard bop contemporary edge. He has played in the company of some amazing fellow jazz musicians including world-renowned trumpet player Wynton Marsalis, saxophonist Dale Barlow and multi-instrumentalist James Morrison. Wayne’s versatility resulted in him touring with Judith Durham of The Seekers, and he’s even had a stint at sea with the P&O Cruise Liners’ Orchestra.

Wayne will be playing piano at First Friday Live on Friday 5 February at Giuseppe’s Restaurant & Bar at 7.30pm. Later in the night, he will be accompanied by Mechlene Nehme (vocals), Bernie Gray (bass), Lachlan Pendlebury (Trumpet/Flugel) and Livio Mazzon (drums).

First Friday co-founder Livio said, “Wayne is one of those high-calibre musicians that doesn’t come along very often. So when they do we need to get out there and support them. And enjoy their music, of course.”

Livio added, “It will be a real treat to play alongside Wayne at First Friday Live tonight and I hope to see a lot of locals being entertained by Wayne’s style of music.”

So you don’t miss out, you can get your tickets at Lesley's of Griffith and Beelbangera General Store until Friday. Or rock up on the night where tickets are available for $15 at the door. The regular lucky door prizes and raffles will be back with the usual wacky prizes to be won. Giuseppe’s menu is available until 9.30pm.
