Beat the winter blues with this red-hot act

Written by Friday, 05 August 2016 19:30

On Friday August 5, Sporties will be the place to be with a sizzling night of music and entertainment planned. Local band Dislocated featuring Max Jones with Ted and Peter Jones will be alongside special guests Angelo and John Peruzzi for a concert they are calling “Quadrophonic”.

The evening will be centred around four sets that will see reworks of great songs, re-interpretations of classics and themes that will both entice and delight. The audience will be in for a treat with an eclectic mix of songs ranging from Stevie Wonder to Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse to David Bowie, and ABBA…just to name a few.

Griffith Young Musician of the Year, Max Jones (vocals and guitar), will be joined by Ted Jones (guitar and bass), plus seasoned veterans of the local music scene Peter Jones (vocals, guitar and bass), Angelo Peruzzi (drums and percussion) and John Peruzzi (keyboards and vocals).

First Friday Live co-founder Livio Mazzon emphasised, "This is one evening of music you won’t want to miss. It’s going to be a fun concert. The songs are well-known so I’m sure people will get into it by singing along and dancing.”

Dislocated will be appearing at The Exies Sports Club (Sporties) at 7.30pm on Friday 5 August. Adding to an already amazingly jam-packed weekend for the Griffith Centenary Celebrations, entry to this concert will be free thanks to the kind support from Griffith Ex-Servicemen’s Club. Under 18’s are welcome with adult supervision. The regular lucky door prizes and raffles will be back with prizes to be won. The Oval Bistro will be open as usual for meals - so why not make a night out of it.
