It’s a Friday first!

Like your music with an international flavour?

This Friday, Griffith will play host to antipodean music duo ‘The Date Brothers’.

Based on opposite sides of the globe, Ian and Nigel Date come together just once or twice a year to perform.

These accomplished jazz guitarists transport their audiences from a gypsy campfire to the bluesy backstreets of New Orleans and the lively parties of South America.

The two brothers – one based in Ireland, the other in Sydney - are fantastic exponents of the style pioneered and made famous by Django Reinhardt.

From humble beginnings in rural NSW, Ian and Nigel have travelled the world performing at festivals and concerts to widespread acclaim.

Together again, ‘The Date Brothers’ will bring their entertaining show to Bar 188 this Friday.

Expect lots of thrills and plenty of laughs as ‘The Date Brothers’ make music as only brothers can.

This international act is a first for First Friday Live and we want you to be part of the fun. So, book a table for 7.30pm and enjoy a night of live music for the low, low cover charge of just $15 per person.

First Friday Live is a not-for-profit, community-organised event run by local volunteers with the aim of nurturing a strong live music scene in our town.
